If stored properly at 4 degrees C the antibody should be stable and reactive for several years if not longer. Good morning, I would like information on the positive and negative control of this antibody and what it actually does if it is cytoplasm, membrane or nucleus celuar.

Thank you for your question. The FGF-2 protein is a member of a family of growth factors that stimulate proliferation of cells of mesenchymal, epithelial and neuroectodermal origin. It is expressed in granulosa and cumulus cells and can be detected secreted or in the nucleus. A good positive control for this protein is HeLa Whole Cell Lysate : sc-2200. Rated 1 out of 5 by from Did not detect recombinant rat FGF-2I tried this antibody out to detect rat FGF-2. I tested it by running it in a Western blot against recombinant rat FGF-2. This antibody did not detect the protein while other ones did. It did not detect either reduced or non reduced recombinant rat FGF-2.
