I am also interested in PGC1a sc-518028 antibody for use in Chromatin Immunoprecipitation and Immunofluorescence staining. Can you confirm that this works?

Thank you for your question. We have not yet tested this antibody, nor are we aware of any publications citing use of this antibody for Chromatin Immunoprecipitation (ChIP). This antibody is recommended for immunofluorescent staining (IF) and we have published data available on our website now. There are also multiple product citations using this antibody for IF.

I have two questions for the antibody.1: What is the exact molecule weight for WB, 130 or 100KD? 2. Can the antibody be used for flow analysis if I add Alexa Fluor® 488 antibody after incubation?

Thank you for your question. The predicted molecular weight for full length PGC-1α1 is ~90 kDa, with the expected observed molecular weight ~115 kDa. This antibody has an N-terminal epitope and we have data detecting a smaller molecular weight isoform, NT-PGC-1α (NT(erminal)-PGC-1α, ~ 37 kDa. The conjugated primary antibody is recommended and warrantied for flow cytometry (FCM), however we are still gathering data to show on our website. Check back for updates!

I'm interested in the new PGC-1α Antibody (D-5): sc-518025 for WB and IP in mouse liver lysates. However, in the datasheet I don't see a picture showing an endogenous full lenght PGC1a expression or a sucssefull IP, do you have such data? Thanks,

Thanks for your question. The antibody is recommended for detection of PGC-1α of mouse, rat and human origin by WB, IP, IF, IHC(P) and ELISA and has been established for these applications. There are two publications that have successfully used PGC-1α Antibody (D-5): sc-518025 in western blot: PMID 30246714 and PMID. So far we have not received any customer feedback for IP with this antibody. 30515824. Please contact technical service for support or to arrange for a free sample of this antibody to see if it is suitable for your application.
