Does this antibody detect C-terminal FAK cleavage products?

Thank you for your question. This monoclonal antibody is specific for an epitope mapping between amino acids 1019-1052 at the C-terminus of FAK of human origin. Based on this epitope mapping, and according to Uniprot, this antibody should be able to detect isoforms 1, 2, 5, 6 and 7. Isoform 6 (also known as FRNK) is missing amion acids 1-692 and has an predicted molecular weight of ~ 40 kDa. https://www.uniprot.org/uniprot/Q05397#sequences

I am looking for FAK antibody for Western blotting, which one do you recommend?

We currently offer several very good options that would work for you in Western blot. This particular clone, FAK (B-8): sc-271195, has very good in-house Western blot data in a variety of cell lines, and it looks to be a very popular choice as well based on recent publications in the literature.
