C2抗体（E-7）是一种IgG2a κ小鼠单克隆C2抗体（也称为C2抗体），可通过WB、IP、IF、IHC(P)和ELISA检测人源C2蛋白。C2抗体（E-7）既可以是非偶联的抗C2抗体形式，也可以是多种偶联形式的抗C2抗体，包括琼脂糖、HRP、PE、FITC和多种Alexa Fluor®偶联物。补体成分蛋白C2、C3、C4和C5是补体激活过程中释放的强效过敏毒素。这些蛋白与它们各自的G蛋白偶联受体结合后，会诱导促炎反应，如细胞脱颗粒、平滑肌收缩、花生四烯酸代谢、细胞因子释放、白细胞活化和细胞趋化等。C2缺陷（C2D）是经典补体途径中最常见的缺陷，主要见于自身免疫性疾病患者或易患细菌感染的患者。补体C2受体抑制性三跨膜蛋白（CRIT）的N端细胞外结构域1与C2结合，并与C2a片段特异性相互作用。这样做可以阻止C2的裂解，并防止经典途径的C3转化酶形成。

Can it be used to detect pig-derived C2 by WB or ELISA?

Thank you for your question. We have not tested this antibody, C2 (E-7): sc-373809, for detection of C2 in pig samples and so this species is not recommended at this time. This monoclonal antibody is raised against amino acids 204-503 mapping within an internal region of C2 of human origin. Based on sequence analysis, this is predicted to share 85% sequence identity with a published C2 protein sequence of pig origin (accession number NP_001095285). This is below our threshold to recommend the antibody for use in pig, however the identity is high enough where there is a good chance that the antibody will also recognize the C2 protein in pig.

Can C2 (E-7): sc-373809 monoclonal antibody be used to stain formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded (FFPE) tissue sections?

Thank you for your question. Yes, C2 (E-7): sc-373809 has been validated for use in IHC with paraffin-embedded sections.
