Thank you for your question. No, the phosphorylation site does not interfere with the detection of this antibody - it will detect both phosphorylated and unphosphorylated forms.

I need to use an antibody to detect the protein in samples of canine origin. Do you know if this mouse monoclonal antibody will work?

I was trying to visualise the corticospinal tract but this failed to work in paraffin sections from human post-mortem tissue or in fixed, frozen sections from macaque spinal cord.

The problem is the strong background at the ventral horn. I will try to modify the conditions and update the information later.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Potent and fairly specific antibodyThis monoclonal antibody was independently tested in-house by Kinexus Bioinformatics Corporation and validated for use for Western blotting. There was strong detection of the ~80 kDa target protein in mouse tissues (brain/testes/thymus/muscle mix). No major cross-reactivities were observed at 2 µg/ml antibody concentration with off-target proteins in the mouse tissues tested, except for a ~100 kDa protein.
