How specific is the reactivity of this antibody for human MAP2 protein? And is there any data for cross-reactivity with mouse and rat tissue? Would like to use it to identify human xenograft in mouse spinal cord.

Thank you for your question. MAP-2 Antibody (B-8): sc-74420 is only recommended for detection of MAP-2 of human origin by WB, IP, IF, IHC(P) and ELISA. There is data for this antibody in murine cerebral cortices and there may be cross-reactivity with rat samples in different tissues as well.

Thank you for your question. Yes, MAP-2 (B-8): sc-74420 has been validated for use in IHC with paraffin-embedded sections.
