Does this antibody work for immunostaining of PFA perfused animals and OCT embedded organs? No parafin.

Thank you for your question. Flg/FGFR1 Antibody (M2F12): sc-57132 is recommended for histological staining experiments with material from mouse, rat, or human. Note that tissue sections will have to be thin enough for the antibody to effectively bind its antigen.

Can this antibody detect FGFR1 isoform beta? I'm trying to blot for endogenous FGFR1 in PC3 cell line, and I'm not getting a signal so I wonder if PC3 cells are expressing only beta form and the antibody cannot detect or something.

Thank you very much for your question. This antibody was raised against Flg isoform α (ectodomain) of human origin. Unfortunately, we have not tested this antibody on PC3 cells. Our labs suggest as positive controls e.g. PC-12, HeLa, SK-N-SH, Neuro-2A and U-87 MG whole cell lysates (we do provide all these in case you are interested). Please contact our Technical Service Department by phone, e-mail or live chat in case you feel the WB results could be improved by changing the protocol settings. We are happy to help you troubleshoot the antibody. Santa Cruz Biotechnology does warranty our antibodies for one year from the date of purchase. If we are unable to successfully troubleshoot your application and get a signal at the expected mw size in a positive sample material, we will send you a replacement antibody free of charge.

Can Flg (M2F12): sc-57132 monoclonal antibody be used in IF or IHC with mouse tissue or cells? Will there be non-specific staining?

Thank you for your inquiry. The use of mouse monoclonal antibodies with mouse samples is very common and typically poses no problem. To eliminate any potential cross-reactivity of an anti-mouse secondary detection reagent, Flg (M2F12): sc-57132 is available in a variety of direct conjugations, such as HRP, PE, FITC and AlexaFluors.
