Ac-组蛋白H4抗体（E-5）是一种IgG2a κ小鼠单克隆Ac-组蛋白H4抗体（也称为乙酰化组蛋白H4抗体），可通过WB、IP、IF、IHC(P)和ELISA等方法检测多种物种来源的Ac-组蛋白H4蛋白。Ac-组蛋白H4抗体（E-5）既可作为非偶联的抗Ac-组蛋白H4抗体形式提供，也可作为多种偶联形式的抗Ac-组蛋白H4抗体提供，包括琼脂糖、HRP、PE、FITC和多种Alexa Fluor®偶联物。在真核生物中，DNA围绕组蛋白八聚体缠绕，形成染色质结构的基本单位。八聚体由组蛋白H2A、H2B、H3和H4组成，它与大约200个碱基对的DNA结合形成核小体。DNA与组蛋白的结合导致染色质的紧密堆积，这限制了参与基因转录的蛋白质与DNA的结合。p300优先在组蛋白H3的第14和第18位赖氨酸以及组蛋白H4的第5和第8位赖氨酸上进行乙酰化。天然形式的PCAF主要将组蛋白H3的第14位赖氨酸乙酰化为单乙酰化形式，并且效率较低地将组蛋白H4的第8位赖氨酸乙酰化。组蛋白H4也可以在第12和第16位赖氨酸上进行乙酰化，而乙酰化的H4与组蛋白H2A、H2B和H3的结合表明，乙酰化的组蛋白可能参与动态的染色质重塑。
