XPC抗体（D-10）是一种小鼠单克隆IgG2a kappa轻链抗体，可通过蛋白质印迹（WB）、免疫沉淀（IP）、免疫荧光（IF）、石蜡包埋切片免疫组织化学（IHCP）和酶联免疫吸附测定（ELISA）检测小鼠、大鼠和人类来源的XPC蛋白。抗XPC抗体（D-10）有非结合型和多种结合型，包括琼脂糖、辣根过氧化物酶（HRP）、藻红蛋白（PE）、异硫氰酸荧光素（FITC）和多种Alexa Fluor®结合物。XPC蛋白在核苷酸切除修复（NER）途径中起着至关重要的作用，该途径通过识别和修复体积较大的DNA损伤（如紫外线引起的损伤）来维持基因组的稳定性。这种修复机制的缺陷可能会导致严重的后果，包括增加皮肤癌的风险，特别是对日光极度敏感的遗传性疾病--色素性干皮病（XP）患者。XPC基因位于3p25染色体上，编码一种与Cen2和HR23B结合的蛋白质，这些蛋白质对于稳定XPC和促进DNA损伤识别至关重要。XPC的羧基末端对于与HR23B和受损DNA结合至关重要；截断该区域的突变会导致XPC蛋白无法发挥作用，进一步凸显了XPC在DNA修复过程中的重要性。

Has this antibody been tested in mouse cells for WB? It is a mouse monoclonal antibody, wouldn't it give a huge background if used for detecting mouse XPC?

Does this antibody recognise ubiquitylated XPC?

Thank you for your question. This antibody will detect ubiquitylated XC as long as the ubiquitination site isn't where the epitope is. It is not specifically designed to detect the ubiquitylated form, so this is not a guarantee that it will pick it up. What is the recommended starting dilution for Western blot for XPC (D-10): sc-74410?
