At what molecular weight should the band be seen in Western Blot with V5-Probe (H-9): sc-271926 monoclonal antibody?

Thank you for your question. The molecular weight expected varies depending on the fusion protein you are trying to detect, equal to the protein of interest plus the weight of the V5 tag that it is fused to.

I am using the LiCor/Odyssey system. Which secondary antibody do you recommend using with V5-Probe (H-9): sc-271926?

We recommend using one of our our exclusive Mouse IgG Binding Proteins (m-IgGκ) conjugated to CFL 680 or CFL 790. They are suitable for use with Near-Infrared (NIR) detection systems, such as LI-COR/Odyssey and other comparable systems. I agree with other recent reviewers that this antibody gives lots of background bands on WB and does not seem to detect our V5-tagged protein in IF or WB. Given good reviews 7 years ago, has something happened to this antibody?
