Why would you recommend using this mouse monoclonal sc-13125: UBF (F-9) over the now discontinued rabbit polyclonal sc-9131 UBF (H-300)?

Thank you for your question. This mouse monoclonal antibody is raised against the identical recombinant protein immunogen used to generate the rabbit polyclonal (sc-9131). This monoclonal antibody offers improved specificity in the same applications, without any lot to lot variability. The antibody has published data in WB, IF and IHC(P). And it has been featured in twice as many publications than the polyclonal.

Invece per quanto riguarda l' applicazione per IF personalmente ho sempre ottenuto segnale scarso, con molto marcaggio aspecifico. Ho notato segnale scarso e aspecifico anche provando ad utilizzarlo in immunoistochimica applicata a microscopia elettronica a trasmissione.
