I am interested in the Sec61a antibody for flow cytometry of human B cells. What is the corresponding isotype control for this antibody and could you recommend the flurophore for this antibody that would work best to detect this molecule (ICS).

Thank you for your question. Due to their higher stability and signal strength of the fluorophore, AlexaFluor®-conjugated antibodies such as sc-393182 AF488 are ideal for flow cytometry. The appropriate isotype control is a mouse IgG1 antibody. If you opt for the AF488 conjugate, the correct isotype control would be sc-3890. Rated 1 out of 5 by from bad antibody for WB!I got a sample of the antibody and started calibrating it on my HeLa cells lysate (tried blocking in 5% milk and %4 BSA) but the antibody is so bad (full of non specific bands) that I cant use it at all. VERY disappointing.

Fortunately, this was one of a set of free samples from Santa Cruz Biotechnology, so no harm done.
