Do polymers occur during WB? Are there any reported cases?

Does this Rack1 monoclonal Ab work against C. elegans rack-1 like your discontinued rabbit polyclonal Ab?

Thank you for your question. This monoclonal antibody was raised against the same antigen used to develop the discontinued rabbit polyclonal antibody, sc-10775: RACK1 (H-187). We do not have any data or citations yet using this monoclonal antibody in C. elegans.

I have tried this antibody FITC conjugated against mouse RACK1 in flow cytometry application. It did not appear to have any signal. Do you know if this antibody has been tested against mouse Rack1 in flow? Thanks!

This antibody has not yet been tested for Flow cytometry (FCM), so this is not a recommended application at this time. The antibody is recommended for detection of RACK1 by WB, IP and IHC. The antibody is mouse, rat and human reactive.

Can this antibody be used in IF or IHC with mouse tissue or cells? Will there be non-specific staining?

Thank you for your inquiry. The use of mouse monoclonal antibodies with mouse samples is very common and typically poses no problem. To eliminate any potential cross-reactivity of an anti-mouse secondary detection reagent, our RACK1 sc-17754 is available in a variety of direct conjugations, such as HRP, PE, FITC, AlexaFluor 488 and AlexaFluor 647.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Anti-RACK1 antibodyMouse anti-RACK1 antibody (sc--17754) works great on immunoblotting at 1:1000 in 2.5 % milk powder (and can be reused up to 4 times). It works well on IHC at 1:200 and works great on IP. It recognizes a 35 kDa band in all cell lines tested so far.
