How many amino acids in length is the antigen phosphopeptide of this antibody?

Thank you for your inquiry. This antibody is raised against synthetic phosphopeptide corresponding to amino acid residues surrounding the T-E-Y motif of ERK1 of human origin. Unfortunately we do not known the exactly amino acids sequence of the antigen. What is the complete amino acid sequence of the antigen phosphopeptide used as a source of this antibody?

Thank you for your inquiry. this antobody is raised against a short amino acid sequence containing dually phosphorylated Thr 202 and Tyr 204 of ERK 1 of rat origin.

Does this antibody (sc-81492) recognize both dually phosphorylated ERK 1 (thr202 and tyr204) and ERK 2 (thr185 and tyr187)? I have seen only one band in the datasheet.

Thank you for your question. Yes, this antibody, p-ERK 1/2 (12D4): sc-81492 is recommended for detection of Thr 202 and Tyr 204 dually phosphorylated ERK 1 and ERK 2 of mouse, rat, human and canine origin by WB, IP and IF. It is non cross-reactive with non-phosphorylated ERK 1/2, and requires phosphorylation at both the Thr and Tyr sites for reactivity. ERK1 and ERK 2 are very similar in size, and we do not typically observe a doublet or more than one band when using this antibody in Western blotting.
