OGG1/2抗体(G-5)是一种IgG1 κ小鼠单克隆OGG1/2抗体(也称为8-氧鸟嘌呤DNA糖基化酶抗体、MUTM抗体、OGH1抗体、8-羟基鸟嘌呤DNA糖基化酶抗体、N-糖基化酶/DNA裂解酶抗体、HOGG1抗体、HMMH抗体、DNA-无嘌呤裂解酶抗体或DNA-无嘧啶裂解酶抗体),它能够通过蛋白质印迹法(WB)、免疫沉淀法(IP)、免疫荧光法(IF)和酶联免疫吸附测定(ELISA)检测小鼠、大鼠和人类来源的OGG1/2蛋白。OGG1/2抗体(G-5)既有非偶联形式的抗OGG1/2抗体,也有多种偶联形式的抗OGG1/2抗体,包括琼脂糖、HRP、PE、FITC以及多种Alexa Fluor®偶联物。8-氧鸟嘌呤(8-oxoG)是鸟嘌呤的氧化形式,在正常衰老过程中由活性氧在DNA和核苷酸池中产生。8-oxoG的积累增加了A:T到C:G或G:C到T:A颠换突变的发生,因为8-oxoG与腺嘌呤以及胞嘧啶形成了稳定的碱基对。OGG1(代表8-oxoG DNA糖基化酶),也称为MMH,是一种DNA修复酶,可以纠正这些突变。OGG1基因的失活会导致突变表型,其特征在于G:C到T:A颠换的增加。OGG1基因通过单个信使RNA的选择性剪接编码8种同工型(OGG1A-C、OGG2A-E)。OGG1A剪接变体是最普遍的形式,定位于细胞核,而OGG2A剪接变体则靶向线粒体。

The HRP-conjugate or fluorchrome-conjugated versions of this product would be appropriate for immunohistochemistry on paraffin-embedded tissue sections. We recommend including antigen retrieval steps for any protocol that includes fixation with paraformaldehyde or formalin. Can the blocking peptide sc-376935 P be used as a positive control in Western Blot?

Thank you for your question. The blocking peptide is a short synthetic peptide sequence and is not appropriate to be used as a positive control in Western Blot. It is intended as a negative control by preadsorbing the antibody prior to application.
