Thank you for your question. This antibody, Nitrotyrosine (HM11): sc-32731, is not species-specific. The antibody is for specific detection of nitrosylated tyrosine containing proteins, independent of what species the tissue is derived from. We would expect the antibody to react with rat tissue, as long as there is nitrosylated tyrosine containing proteins in the tissue samples being evaluated.
