MAO-A 抗体（G-10）是一种 IgG1 κ 鼠单克隆 MAO-A 抗体（也称为 MAOA 抗体、AOFA 抗体、含黄素胺氧化酶 A 抗体、单胺氧化酶 A 型抗体或 BRNRS 抗体），可通过 WB、IP、IF、IHC(P) 和 ELISA 检测小鼠、大鼠和人类的 MAO-A 蛋白。MAO-A 抗体（G-10）既可以是非偶联的抗 MAO-A 抗体形式，也可以是多种偶联形式的抗 MAO-A 抗体，包括琼脂糖、HRP、PE、FITC 和多种 Alexa Fluor® 偶联物。单胺氧化酶（MAO）是线粒体外膜的一种酶，催化体内生物胺的氧化脱氨反应。MAO 在儿茶酚胺和吲哚胺递质的神经元代谢中起关键作用。培养的皮肤成纤维细胞同时表达 MAO-A 和 MAO-B，这两种 MAO 在分子结构上有所不同。MAO-A 是成纤维细胞中的主要类型，优先降解 5-羟色胺和去甲肾上腺素。仅血小板中存在 MAO-B，仅滋养层细胞中存在 MAO-A。MAO-B 不仅是血小板中的主要类型，而且也是人和其他灵长类动物大脑中的主要类型，优先降解苯乙胺和苄胺。由于 MAO 活性降低被认为是精神分裂症的"遗传标记"，因此 MAO 一直受到精神病学和遗传学的特别关注。编码 MAO-A 和 MAO-B 的基因定位于人类 X 染色体 Xp11.23。

What happens if I accidentally stored the antibody at -20°C for about one month?

Thank you for your question. If the antibody is stored at -20°C is could cause the antibody to not work properly we recommend storing our antibodies at 4 degrees.

What secondary antibody can be used with MAO-A (G-10) for immunofluorescence? Does it need to be IgG1?

I am using MAO-A (G-10): sc-271123 monoclonal antibody to stain paraffin embedded tissue. Do you recommend antigen retrieval when using this antibody?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Specific and sensitive antibodyAnti-MAO-A Antibody (G-10, Cat# sc-271123) was specific and extra sensitive in detecting MAO-A in positive control sample (placental tissue) in western blot. Moreover, there were no signals in samples with low/no MAO-A expression (platelets, ACH-3P cell line). I would highly recommend.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from The function is relatively weakOne month ago I applied the antibody Sc-271123（MAOA), then I used it to do WB with 1:100 dilution in human lung cancer cell line, the protein loading was 15ug, but the results showed completely no signal, we conducted one repeat with more protein-20ug, but the result was the same, given that other antibody in our lab can work with the same protein sample, I think maybe the antibody was not very good, or perhaps there existed other reasons, such as transportation in room temperature without ice.
