I want to use sc-71481 for immunofluorescence , will it recognize prelaminA and progerin also?

Thank you for your question. This mouse monoclonal antibody, Lamin A (4A58): sc-71481, is raised against partially purified recombinant Lamin A protein of human origin. The antibody has an epitope mapping between amino acids 598-611 of Lamin A. According to Uniprot (http://www.uniprot.org/uniprot/P02545), this epitope is conserved in Prelamin A and Progerin (also designated isoform 6). Therefore, this antibody could potentially recognize these other forms of Lamin A if they are expressed in your samples. This has not been experimentally evaluated in our own testing of the antibody.

I am using Lamin A (4A58): sc-71481 for immunofluorescence, what dilution of this antibody should I use?
