Has this antibody been tested for Flow cytometry? At SCBT or any other published literature?

Thank you for your question. The unconjugated antibody has not yet been tested in that application. The conjugated primary antibody is recommended and warrantied for flow cytometry (FCM), however we are still gathering data to show on our website. Check back for updates!

Did you teste this antibody for detection of mouse Fth? Although it is recomended, I would like to know if it was actually tested.

Thank you for your question. Ferritin heavy chain Antibody (B-12): sc-376594 is recommended for detection of ferritin heavy chain of mouse, rat and human origin by WB, IP, IF and ELISA and has been established for those species and applications in our labs. We base our recommendations on these tests. The antibody has also been used successfully with murine samples in a recent publication: PMID 30935115.

I wonder how was this antibody validated to not cross react with Ferritin light chain?, has it been tried to be plotted with ferritin composed out of only light chain (like Ferritin from spleen)? I would like to use it in sandwich ELISA

Thank you for your question. This monoclonal antibody is raised against an antigen that is specific to the ferritin heavy chain, and is not expected to cross-react with ferritin light chain. We have not tested this antibody in spleen.

Hello, I would like to know if this antibody can be used to detect rat ferritin heavy chain? Thank you.

Thank you for your question. We have not yet tested our monoclonal antibody, ferritin heavy chain (B-12): sc-376594, to confirm reactivity with rat samples. However, it is very likely that the antibody would react with rat ferritin heavy chain based on roughly 92% sequence identity shared between the immunogen and the published protein sequence for rat (accession: P19132). We are offering a free 10 µg sample of this antibody for a limited time. Please contact our Technical Service Department if you would like a sample to test the antibody in rat. Does this antibody (B12) cross-react with the ferritin light chain ?

Thank you for your question. We do not expect this antibody, ferritin heavy chain Antibody (B-12): sc-376594, to cross-react with the ferritin light chain. The immunogen used to develop the antibody does not share significant sequence identity with the ferritin light chain protein. However, the exact epitope recognized by this monoclonal antibody has not been determined.
