Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good immunoblots in human oral epithelial cellsI tested this EphA4 antibody (free sample) in immuno blots. Our samples were human oral epithelial cells. The membrane was incubated with 1:1000 Ab in TBST-5% BSA at 4C for O/N. One band was detected at ~125 kDa. This antibody worked fine for us.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from This antibody does NOT work in our Western blotWe tested this antibody (free sample from SC) in Western Blot (WB) multiple times. Unfortunately, it does NOT work. Our samples were from mouse neuronal stem cells, which have been confirmed containing EphA4 in both IHC and WB by using other Abs. In our experiment, each lane was loaded by 100 ug total protein. The membrane was incubated with 1:1000 Ab in TBST-5% BSA at 4C for O/N. According to our results, there were multiple bands > 150 kDa , but no band at 110-120 kDa which is the expected Mw of EphA4.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Potent and fairly specific antibodyThis monoclonal antibody was independently tested in-house by Kinexus Bioinformatics Corporation and validated for use for Western blotting. There was medium detection of the ~120 kDa target protein in mouse tissues (brain/testes/thymus/muscle mix). No major cross-reactivities were observed at 2 µg/ml antibody concentration with off-target proteins in the mouse tissues tested, except for three major cross-reactive proteins of ~32, 48 and 62 kDa were also detected.
