I understand that this antibody is raised against human col1a1 amino acid #1021-1108. What about the amino acid# of mouse col1a1?

Do you recommend use milk or BSA with this antibody?

Thank you for your question. This antibody has been established with UltraCruz® Blocking Reagent: sc-516214. BSA-TBST or milk-TBST are also suitable for blocking. Depending on your particular experimental setup you may want to opt for a BSA-based blocking buffer to increase overall signal strength or a milk-based buffer for improved signal to noise ratio and lower background.

Is it possible to use this antibody for IHC(P) on rabbit tissue?

Thank you for your question. It doesn't seem COL1A1 is fully characterized in Oryctolagus cuniculus. However, there seems to be a high homology between the epitope sequence of the antibody and the predicted sequence of collagen alpha-1(I) chain of rabbit origin, accession# XP_017204320. It may be possible that this antibody may detect your target but we cannot guarantee it since the sequence has not been fully characterized.

Would this antibody work on COL1 of porcine origin?

Would this ABY work for western analysis of the purified rat-tail collagen used for cell culture?

I checked col1a1 in mice kidney extract through WB.Ｗhile Band positions were detected from 52 kDa to 76 kDa, not in the same location as the protocol. Even if it is a decomposed product, the molecular weight is small. Please tell me What is it.

hello. I have an one question about this antibody. Can this antibody even recognize pro collagen type 1? I'm wondering if this ab can distinguish collagen fiber and pro collagen.

Thank you for your question. Based on the epitope mapping, this antibody should be able to recognize both pro collagen alpha1 type I, and the mature protein. We have not tested the antibody to determine if it can distinguish between collagen fiber and pro collagen, but we would recommend you review some of the product citations using this antibody for more information about how the antibody is being used.

I used this antibody to check col1a1 in mice kidney extract through WB.While the reasult showed a lot of non-specific bands and i couldn't comfirm which is the col1a1. 1st dil. 1:1000. 2nd anti-mouse lgG dil.1:5000. Could u provide a positive con?

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Reduced visibility and aspecificity in WBI tested this antibody on NHDF human dermal fibroblasts, to evaluate the modulation of collagen under the modulators of the Wound healing process. However, in its application for western blot, using the 1:1000 dilution, the antibody highlights a non-specific around 50 kDa, the intensity of which reduces the visibility of the isoform for which this antibody should be specific. I recommend cutting the membrane properly.
