I have used your CD3e (sc-1127) for years on various animal tissue. Now I see that it has been discontinued and the recommended replacement is human specific. Can I get a sample of a CD3 antibody that you think might have the best chance of working in dog

Thank you for your question. We are currently offering a free 10 µg sample of our mouse monoclonal antibody, CD3-ε (UCH-T1): sc-1179, and I would be happy to send it to you to test in your samples. Unfortunately, we do not have any evidence of any of our CD3-ε antibodies working for dog at this time. And we do not provide sample sizes for any of the other CD3-ε antibodies. Please contact our Technical Service Department if you would like help with performing sequence analysis to predict if any of our other antibodies might be expected to cross react with dog. Can CD3-ε (UCH-T1): sc-1179 monoclonal antibody be used in IF or IHC with mouse tissue or cells? Will there be non-specific staining?

Thank you for your inquiry. The use of mouse monoclonal antibodies with mouse samples is very common and typically poses no problem. To eliminate any potential cross-reactivity of an anti-mouse secondary detection reagent, CD3-ε (UCH-T1): sc-1179 is available in a variety of direct conjugations, such as HRP, PE, FITC and AlexaFluors.
