Hello, I need to order CB1 and CB2 antibodies. Do you also provide positive and negative samples? I need the antibodies doing immunohistochemistry (IHC). Would the antibodies work for IHC?

Thank you for your question. We do not offer positive and negative tissue samples for IHC. This antibody is not currently recommended for IHC. We do offer an alternative, CB1 Antibody (C-11): sc-518035. This primary antibody is recommended and warrantied for IF (immunofluorescent staining of fresh or frozen tissues or cells fixed in methanol or acetone), however we are still gathering data to show on our website. For CB2, we offer the following, CB2 Antibody (3C7): sc-293188. Please note that neither one of these CB1 or CB2 antibodies has been tested yet on formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded tissues sections, and so IHC(P) is not yet a recommended application. Please check back for updates!

For Western Blot, is it recommended to use denatured or non-denatured conditions with CB1 (2F9): sc-293419 antibody?

CB1 is highly glycosylated and it appears at around 65 kDa although the theoretical molecular weight of CB1 is around 50 kDa. See this paper: J Neurochem. 2017, 142(4):521-533

Immunofluorescence for human brain tissues, which were formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded. Red color is CB1R, green color is Iba1(microglia cell maker).
