What dilution has worked well with rat brain samples?

Thank you for your question. We do not have any data in rat brain samples specifically when using this mouse monoclonal antibody, BECN1 (E-8): sc-48341. We used this primary at a dilution of 1:200 for most of the Western blot data on our website. We recommend a starting dilution of 1:200 (range of 1:100-1:1,000). If I freeze this antibody, will it remain viable for a longer period of time?

Thank you for your question. We do not run long term storage testing, but warranty all of our products for 1 year from the date of purchase. Freezing the antibody will actually void the warranty as this harms the antibody due to the presence of gelatin in the suspension mixture. The recommended storage temperature is 4ºC and many times the antibody will remain viable under these conditions for much longer than the 1 year warranty date.
