What is the MW and the amino acid sequence?

Thank you for your question. Cy3 is a fluorescent dye with a molecular weight of approximately 765–770 g/mol, making it unfeasible to detect on its own in western blots. Cy3 is intended to be used as a means of detection for fusion proteins. Since Cy3 itself is not a protein, it does not have an amino acid sequence.

For western blotting, can this antibody recognize heat-denatured samples? or Does Cy3 have stable antigenicity after heat treatment?

Thank you for your question. Anti-anti-Cy3 Antibody (A-6): sc-166894 recognises Cy3 in WB, IP, IF and ELISA in both its native and denatured states.

What is the incubation time for ICC detection of conjugated anti cy3-PE antibody? Does it need to be done overnight or can it be done for a couple of hours at room temperature?

Will this antibody detect Cy3.5? If not, is there another antibody that will?

Thank you for your question. Unfortunately we have not tested the reactivity to Cy3.5, so we do not have that information. We do not have one that we are aware can pick up the Cy3.5 protein. have you tested the anti-Cy3 Antibody (A-6) Alexa Fluor® 647? does this anti-cy3 antibody itself quench the cy3 colour?

Thank you for your question. We have not yet tested our anti-Cy3 Antibody (A-6): sc-166894 Alexa Fluor® 647 conjugate for IF, IHC(P) or FCM. We do not know whether or not the anti-Cy3 antibody will quench the Cy3 color.
