Thank you for your question. Alix Antibody (3A9): sc-53538 was raised against full-length human protein. No epitope mapping to determine the exact binding site has been performed for this antibody as of yet.

Hello! We would like to use the Alix (3A9) sc-53538 as an exosome marker (Western blot) in exosomes isolated from pig (Sus Scrofa). Does it work with pig? Thanks.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Alix antibody for EV characterizationThis antibody worked well for identifying ALIX, an extracellular vesicle (EV) marker. For some time, we had difficulty isolating and visualizing EVs, and our Western blots often showed no detectable bands. After optimizing our isolation method, the ALIX antibody provided one of the first clear signals indicating that the isolation was successful. We later confirmed EV isolation using transmission electron microscopy to visualize the EVs.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from No signal on TE-4 cells proteins.I tested this alix antibody on protein exctracted from TE-4 cells by western blot. Antibody was diluted 1:200 as suggested in BSA 5% and incubated o/n at 4°C. However, it didn't work and no signal was shown.
