Neurogenin 1 Antibody (OR-7) is a high quality monoclonal Neurogenin 1 antibody (also designated Neurogenin 1 antibody) suitable for the detection of the Neurogenin 1 protein of mouse, rat and human origin. Neurogenin 1 Antibody (OR-7) is available as the non-conjugated anti-Neurogenin 1 antibody. The Neurogenin family of proteins belongs to the basic helix-loop-helix (bHLH) superfamily and consists of Neurogenin 1, Neurogenin 2 and Neurogenin 3 (also designated ngn3). bHLH members are transcriptional regulators that determine cell fate. During mouse neurogenesis, Neurogenin 1 and Neurogenin 2 are expressed in distinct progenitor populations in the central and peripheral nervous systems. Targeted mutation analyses have shown that Neurogenin 1 is essential for the determination of neuronal precursors for proximal cranial sensory ganglia and that Neurogenin 2 is essential for the determination of precursors for epibranchial placode-derived sensory neurons. The gene which encodes Neurogenin 1 maps to human chromosome 5q23-q31.

I am using Neurogenin 1 (OR-7): sc-100332 for immunofluorescence, what dilution of this antibody should I use?
Asked by: jenni
Thank you for your question. We recommend a starting dilution of 1:50. However, optimal antibody concentration should be determined by titration. Please find our full immunofluorescence protocol here:

Has anyone try this antibody for immunoprecipitation of endogenous protein? Thanks!
Asked by: Raquel
Thank you for your question. We are not aware of anyone publishing with Neurogenin 1 Antibody (OR-7): sc-100332 for immunoprecipitation. We do warranty the antibody to work for this research application based on the performance of similar antibodies and the reactivity of this antibody in Western blot. Please contact our Technical Service Department for further support. Santa Cruz Biotechnology does warranty our antibodies for one year from the date of purchase. If we are unable to successfully troubleshoot your application we will send you a replacement antibody free of charge, or issue a credit or refund if that is not possible.

Did not work for immunohistochemistryI tried this antibody at a 1:50 and 1:500 dilution, with or without TSA-based signal amplification, on adult mouse brain sections (using blocking buffer with 0.3% Triton-X100, over-night incubation of primary at 4'C). It didn't work.
