Why does one blot show no band for HSP56 in untransfected 293T cells the other blot does, and why don't you see more of it when over expressed? These data do not convince me that this antibody is actually staining for HSP 56
Thank you for your question. HSP proteins are generally pretty ubiquitously expressed so it is harder to show upregulation. The differences in signal observed between untransfected control 293T and HSP 56 transfected 293T could be a result of differences in protein loading, lysate preparations, exposure times, buffer quality, etc. There are many variables that can contribute to this observable difference. The data we show on our website is intended to be indicative of what you would expect when using this antibody. Please contact our Technical Service Department for further support.

What is the molecular weight of HSP 56 ?

Use to detect HSP56 protein levels
This antibody is very useful for protein detection in animal and human cell compartments. In particular, we used this antibody to detect protein levels in nuclear and cytosolic cell compartments in hippocampus and prefrontal cortex of mice and rats. In human samples we did not obtained protein bands detecting HSP56 levels. In general, we are not very satisfied with the obtained results, because Ab displayed low purity and high background in Western blot. Dilution to 1:200 for Western blot.
