gankyrin Antibody (3A6C2) is a high quality monoclonal gankyrin antibody (also designated gankyrin antibody) suitable for the detection of the gankyrin protein of mouse, rat and human origin. gankyrin Antibody (3A6C2) is available as both the non-conjugated anti-gankyrin antibody form, as well as multiple conjugated forms of anti-gankyrin antibody, including agarose, HRP, PE, FITC and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Gankyrin, a hepatocellular carcinoma-associated protein, regulates protein-protein interactions in cell cycle control as well as protein degradation. Furthermore, upregulation of gankyrin correlates with cell-cycle progression in normal hepatocytes as well. It contains six domains known as ankyrin repeats, and interacts with Rb, Cdk4, the 26S proteasome, and MAGE-A4. This last interaction suppresses anchorage-independent growth in gankyrin overexpressing cells, demonstrating a possible mechanism for immunotherapy in hepatocellular carcinoma.

Hi, What is the immunogen used to produce this antibody or in other words, which region on the recombinant gankyrin protein does this antibody bind to?
Asked by: Abbas
Thank you for your question. This mouse monoclonal gankyrin Antibody (3A6C2) was raised against full length recombinant human gankyrin. According to the following publication, the epitope mapping is somewhere between "the third and fifth ankyrin‐repeat region", or between amino acids 72-170.

For Western Blot, is it recommended to use denatured or non-denatured conditions with gankyrin (3A6C2): sc-101498 monoclonal antibody?
Asked by: TinTin
Thank you for your question. We recommend this antibody for use in denatured Western Blot conditions. It has not been validated for use in non-denatured conditions. Please contact our Technical Service Department for further details or inquiries.
