CREG Antibody (30R) is a high quality monoclonal CREG antibody (also designated CREG antibody) suitable for the detection of the CREG protein of human origin. CREG Antibody (30R) is available as the non-conjugated anti-CREG antibody. The adenovirus E1A protein both activates and represses gene expression to promote cellular proliferation and inhibit differentiation. CREG (cellular repressor of E1A-stimulated genes) is a cellular protein that antagonizes transcriptional activation and cellular transformation by E1A. CREG was initially isolated in a yeast two-hybrid screen due to its interaction with the TATA-binding protein, TBP. Binding sites for E2F, a key transcriptional reg-ulator of cell cycle progression, are required for repression of the adeno-virus E2 promoter by CREG, and CREG was shown to inhibit activation by E2F. CREG is broadly expressed in adult tissues and is regulated during embryonic development. CREG is a secreted glycoprotein which enhances differentiation of mouse embryonic stem cells and human NTERA-2 cells. CREG activity may contribute to the transcriptional control of cell growth and differentiation.

Can sc-100695: CREG (30R) monoclonal antibody be used to stain formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded (FFPE) tissue sections?
Asked by: cjMara
Thank you for your question. Yes, sc-100695: CREG (30R) is recommended for use in IHC with paraffin-embedded sections. We recommend performing antigen retrieval with sodium citrate buffer (pH 6) and heat. The full protocol can be found here:

Good antibody for human cells, not mouseWe tested a sample of this antibody 2 weeks ago on human 293T cells and it worked perfect for IF.
It didn't work for WB or IF on mice tissue, though.
