ASB-10 Antibody (QQ6) is a high quality monoclonal ASB-10 antibody (also designated ASB-10 antibody) suitable for the detection of the ASB-10 protein of mouse, rat and human origin. ASB-10 Antibody (QQ6) is available as the non-conjugated anti-ASB-10 antibody. Members of the suppressor of cytokine signaling (SOCS) family of proteins contain C-terminal regions of homology called the SOCS box, which serves to couple SOCS proteins and their binding partners with the Elongin B and C complex. Several other families of proteins also contain SOCS boxes, but differ from the SOCS proteins in the type of domain they contain upstream of the SOCS box. The largest family of SOCS box-containing proteins is the ankyrin repeat and SOCS box-containing (ASB) protein family. Members of the ASB family include ASB-1 through ASB-18 and are involved in a variety of biological processes. ASB-10 is a 467 amino acid member of this family. It contains seven ankyrin repeats and one SOCS box domain. In contrast to the common LC sequence in the conserved BC box subdomain of the SOCS box, ASB-10 contains an LS sequence. This replacement of LC with LS is not known to interfere with any protein interactions. Two isoforms exist due to alternative splicing events.

For Western Blot, is it recommended to use denatured or non-denatured conditions with ASB-10 (QQ6): sc-100677 antibody?
Asked by: Cweed
Thank you for your question. We recommend this antibody for use in denatured Western Blot conditions. It has not been validated for use in non-denatured conditions. Please contact our Technical Service Department for further details or inquiries.
