α1A-AR Antibody (4D8) is a high quality monoclonal alpha 1A-AR antibody (also designated ADA1A antibody, Adrenoceptor Alpha 1A antibody, Adrenergic Alpha-1A- Receptor antibody, Alpha-1A Adrenergic Receptor antibody, Alpha-1C Adrenergic Receptor antibody, ADRA1L1 antibody, ADRA1C antibody, Alpha-Adrenergic Receptor 1c antibody, G Protein Coupled Receptor antibody, or ALPHA1AAR antibody) suitable for the detection of the alpha 1A-AR protein of mouse, rat and human origin. α1A-AR Antibody (4D8) is available as the non-conjugated anti-alpha 1A-AR antibody. α1A-adrenergic receptors (α1A-ARs) mediate actions in the sympathetic nervous system through the binding of the catecholamines, epinephrine and norepinephrine. α1A-AR (previously designated α1C-AR) couples to Gq/11 and regulates blood pressure due to changes in vascular tone and cardiac output. Alternative splicing of the ADRA1A gene generates four isoforms with distinct C-termini, and the different expression profile of these subtypes produces distinct patterns of activation. α1A-AR transcripts are abundant in heart, brain, liver and prostate. α1A-AR transcript sizes of 6.0, 4.0, 3.0, and 2.0 kb have been detected in liver. Transcripts of 6.0, 4.0 and 3.0 kb have been detected in heart, and transcripts of 6.0 and 4.0 kb have been detected in prostate.
