4-Hydroxy-2,5,6-triaminopyrimidine sulfate salt is a derivatized pyrimidine compound that has been shown to act as an antioxidant similarly to tetrahydrofolate (THF) and 5-methyltetrahydrofolate. One study identified this compound as the pharmacophore, particularly citing the 5-amino group as being of major importance for the antioxidant activity. Furthermore, this compound has been used as an intermediate for synthetic organic chemistry.
